DESCRIPTION:
Three Palms Board Co offers first timers through to paddle enthusiasts endless hours of fun on the water with this Soft Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP).
With an emphasis on safety and durability, the Three Palms Soft SUP has a thick textured Polyethylene deck, and a soft slick skin on the bottom that’s tough enough to take a beating, yet is soft enough to keep the rider safe in the event of impact. These features in particular make this model very popular with surf school owners and rental operators.
At 205 litres, this 10’2″ SUP has enough volume for just about anyone, and when combined with the generous width and shape, means it’s incredibly buoyant, stable and very easy to ride. For these reasons it’s ideal for paddling in lakes, harbours and flat water inlets, and the more experienced paddler will also discover it requires minimal effort to perform smooth turns in the surf.
The secret to the performance of the Three Palms Soft SUP lies within the core. Embedded plywood stringers maintain the boards stiffness and structural integrity, which allows the rider to accelerate with only a few strokes and then maintain forward momentum and glide.
Other notable features include the high-density end bumpers on the nose and tail, a convenient carry handle, tail hole (for lock-up security), and the FCS II 9′ Connect Single Fin that simply clicks into the fin box without the need for a screw and plate.
CONSTRUCTION:
Soft Skin was developed for rental outfits, surf schools and beginner surfers who required a safe, durable, easy to learn on board. Soft Skin is essentially a thick High Density EVA skin wrapped around the deck and rail of the board, combined with a hard AST bottom surface that keeps novice riders safe in the event of impact. Using a vacuum construction process eliminates peeling or bubbling and allows Soft Skin boards to withstand the toughest of treatment, while providing many surfers the opportunity to safely catch their first wave.
